 century, when it was in the hands of the MacQuillan. Dunluce had no shortage of dramatic episodes over the centuries. Sorley Boy MacDonnell, twice lost the castle, once to Shane O'Neill and in 1584 to Sir John Perrott. Sorley boy regained the castle and repairs were underway when he died in 1589.

Kilcrea Castle was built by Cormac Láidir MacCarthy, in the 15th century. The castle is almost encircled by trees and a thicket of shrubs but is mostly in good condition. Located in Co. Cork.

Old Glin Castle
The old castle ruins sit in the bed of a small river, close to its junction with the Shannon. Near it is an ancient bridge, where the only pass over the river was situated, which the castle was most probably built to protect. It was once home to the Knight of Glin, part of the Fitzgerald family. Co. Limerick 5x7
